Credit Repair Automate does three things that normally stop people from disputing their credit report: it finds the problems, it writes the letters, and it keeps track of what happened. You make the decisions. Here is exactly what that looks like.
- Create your free accountName, email, password. Then a short profile: your current address, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number, because every dispute letter needs them to identify your file. You'll also upload a photo of your ID and a proof of address, since bureaus require copies with each letter.
- Connect your credit reportsThe software needs your current report from all three bureaus, and it gets them through SmartCredit®, a credit monitoring service. If you already have SmartCredit, log in. If not, you start a 7-day trial for $1.99. Once connected, your TransUnion, Experian and Equifax reports are imported into your dashboard in about a minute.
- Review what the scan flaggedThe scan reads every tradeline, inquiry and public record across all three reports and flags anything that looks inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable. Each flag comes with a plain-English reason, for example "date of first delinquency differs between TransUnion and Equifax" or "hard inquiry with no matching account". You decide which ones to dispute. Uncheck anything you know is accurate.
- Generate and send your lettersOne click turns the checked items into formal dispute letters, one per bureau, and creditor letters where they help. Each letter cites the right section of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, lists the items, states the reason, and attaches your ID copies. Then either download and mail them yourself, or use print-to-mail and they're printed, addressed and posted with tracking for a small per-letter fee.
What happens after you mail
Once a bureau receives your letter, the clock starts. Under FCRA section 611 it has 30 days to investigate, which usually means contacting the creditor or collector that reported the item and asking them to verify it. Three things can happen:
- Deleted. The furnisher can't or doesn't verify the item. It comes off your report.
- Updated. The furnisher corrects part of it, for example the balance or a date.
- Verified. The furnisher says it's accurate and the item stays.
You'll get a written result from each bureau, by mail or online. When your next monthly report imports, the software compares it against the last one and shows you exactly what was deleted, updated or verified, item by item.
Round two, and when to stop
A verified item isn't the end. If you still believe it's wrong, the next round asks for the method of verification, or goes directly to the creditor with a different, more specific reason. Most people run two or three rounds over 60 to 90 days. The software drafts each round based on what happened in the last one.
Two honest limits. First, an accurate negative item will usually be verified, and no letter changes that. Second, disputing the same item repeatedly with the same reason can be treated as frivolous and ignored. The scan is built to give a real, specific reason every time, and to tell you when an item probably isn't worth another round.
What the software does not do
It doesn't contact the bureaus on your behalf, doesn't promise a score, doesn't remove accurate information, and doesn't charge you anything. It is a tool that makes a legal right you already have practical to use. That is deliberate. Companies that dispute for you are regulated as credit repair organizations, charge monthly fees whether or not anything changes, and often send the same generic letters the bureaus have learned to ignore.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know anything about credit repair first?
No. The software was built for people with no credit knowledge. You connect your reports, read what it flagged in plain English, and approve the letters. The guides explain anything you want to go deeper on.
Can I use my existing SmartCredit account?
Yes. During setup choose 'I already have SmartCredit' and log in. Nothing extra is charged.
What if I disagree with something the scan flagged?
Uncheck it. Nothing is sent without your approval. You can also add items the scan didn't flag and write your own reason.
Does the software send disputes for me?
No. It writes and, if you choose, prints and mails the letters you approved. Legally and practically, you are the one disputing. That is what keeps it free and keeps you in control.
