How they're written
Our guides are written with AI, the same kind of technology our software is built on, and published by Credit Repair Automate. Every statement about the law links to the law itself or to the government agency that enforces it, so you can check it yourself. Since October 2026, every new guide is read by a person at Credit Repair Automate before it is published.
What they are
General information about how the consumer credit laws and the dispute process work. They are not legal services or a legal opinion about anyone's situation. We are not a law firm, a credit repair organization or a credit counselor. For your own situation, talk to a lawyer in your state; many consumer attorneys take FCRA cases with no upfront cost.
How we check facts
Statements about the law link to the statute itself, for example the Fair Credit Reporting Act, section 611, or to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. Prices we quote for other companies are ranges from their own published pages, with the date we checked.
What we never do
We never promise a deletion, a score or a timeline. Accurate negative information can't be removed by disputing, and our guides say so.
Updates
Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We review guides when a law, a bureau process or our software changes.
